OUR PROGRAM
Gembrook preschool is passionate about the benefits of outdoor nature play for children. This promotes connection and engagement for the children with their natural environment.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island perspectives are embedded in our Bush Kinder and onsite programs.
The 1st year students will have the opportunity to engage in outdoor play based programs on Wednesday afternoons (12:30pm-4pm).
These sessions are dedicated to all weather programming therefore families are required to dress their children appropriately for all weather conditions. A wet weather kit is available to purchase for families. We supply the sun hats and beanies.
The nature play based program is specifically targeted at developing the children’s gross motor skills. Children may engage in activities such as:
- Cultivating the vegetable garden,
- Learning about bush tucker,
- Exploring local parkland.
